We hope our site is not only informative of our life together now, but a reflection of how God is working in each of us!theSanchez'http://www.blogger.com/profile/05797720878755732396noreply@blogger.comBlogger30125tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1160594774775794628.post-54298720707063324272010-07-06T09:20:00.000-07:002010-07-06T10:01:35.195-07:00Porter - Our New PuppyOn May 21st, Alex and I bought Porter...our first puppy! He is a Golden Retriever, born on March 24, 2010, and such a joy to have in our little family! We went to visit the litter when they were 6 weeks old...here are some pictures. There were 2 males and 4 females....we chose the bigger of the 2 males.<br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 150px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 200px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5490830055050370578" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/TDNY1-lQ3hI/AAAAAAAAAbM/ngm3Z0Wx0hM/s200/IMG_0197.JPG" /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 200px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 150px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5490830060385361282" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/TDNY2SdOXYI/AAAAAAAAAbU/fXt99CQ-fu8/s200/IMG_0199.JPG" /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 200px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 150px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5490830070871074594" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/TDNY25hNpyI/AAAAAAAAAbc/0bbQph93fIE/s200/IMG_0200.JPG" />When Porter was 8 weeks old, my mom and brother went with me to go bring him home! <div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><br /></div><div></div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 200px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 132px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5490831436124374002" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/TDNaGXe9w_I/AAAAAAAAAbk/c-8GaVWctUc/s200/DSC_0010.JPG" /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 200px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 150px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5490831444050936962" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/TDNaG1AzhII/AAAAAAAAAbs/OF3NTLgK7XE/s200/IMG_1966.JPG" /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 200px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 132px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5490831447924747570" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/TDNaHDcZLTI/AAAAAAAAAb0/2oqLEjJM0uE/s200/DSC_0003.JPG" /> Porter is now 14 weeks old, he can stay dry for 8 hours at night, he goes on 2-3 30 minute walks each day, he loves to eat dirt and rocks, and plays fetch very well. Alex and I are teaching him to "sit", "come", "down", "wait"...and he is doing pretty well with those commands. Teething is the most challenging part...so I have lots of chew toys for him. Life is busier now with a little puppy in the house...but we love our new addition!</div><div><br /><div></div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 132px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 200px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5490833028157928354" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/TDNbjCRV86I/AAAAAAAAAb8/P3UIDjvJT5M/s200/DSC_0023.JPG" /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 200px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 150px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5490833037416180450" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/TDNbjkwrquI/AAAAAAAAAcE/I7u-Cw7-L4Q/s200/IMG_1364.JPG" /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 200px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 150px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5490833044812574866" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/TDNbkAUHsJI/AAAAAAAAAcM/Plnz4wHGPDI/s200/IMG_1414.JPG" /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 200px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 150px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5490833053225616882" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/TDNbkfp8hfI/AAAAAAAAAcU/Vi9Qp7hNTVU/s200/IMG_0275.JPG" /></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div><br /><p> </p><p>Link to see VIDEOS of Porter: <a href="http://www.youtube.com/user/aksanchez07">www.youtube.com/user/aksanchez07</a></p><p> </p>theSanchez'http://www.blogger.com/profile/05797720878755732396noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1160594774775794628.post-33705226791747611652010-04-10T17:37:00.000-07:002010-04-10T17:53:02.541-07:00My Spring BreakI have enjoyed a week off from teaching and all things related (since I am procrasting on my huge stack of grading to do). I did have swim practice each day for a couple of hours in the morning with my SJHHS Swim Team....but here were some of my projects for the week. <div><div><div><div><br /><div></div><div>Monday I spent the day with my mom. She trimmed my hair (don't you just love it when your hair is freshly cut?) We had lunch at Javiers in Crystal Cove (I wanted to drive along the coast). I love mom/daughter days!</div><br /><div></div><div>Tuesday I spent the day weeding, raking the soil, digging out some dead plants, planting many new plants, and adding more compost to the soil in the bakyard planter.</div><div> </div><div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 196px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 273px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5458675461499566962" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/S8EcaTLSu3I/AAAAAAAAAa8/cpu2bQh_NAs/s320/IMG_0354.JPG" /></div><div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 264px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 198px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5458675458228451954" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/S8EcaG_ZenI/AAAAAAAAAa0/eS8ckVZqD_k/s320/IMG_0353.JPG" /></div><div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 271px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 194px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5458675438965865602" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/S8EcY_O1vII/AAAAAAAAAas/LP1mFxnPHEU/s320/IMG_0356.JPG" /></div><div></div><div>Wednesday and Thursday I painted the dining room and kitchen a terra cotta color, primed and painted the fireplace white, took off the top cupboard doors and painted the cupboards white. Alex's older brother, Fidel, and sister-in-law, Mary, live in Maryland and are expecting their first baby in March. Alex's parents and sister also flew out from CA to join in the fun! We arrived just after the big snow drop...so having a White Christmas was very special.<br /><br /><div><div><div><div><div><div><div>On Monday, we went to Georgetown. The buildings are so charming!</div><br /><div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 235px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 177px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5422310414423537058" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/Sz_ql-GdtaI/AAAAAAAAAY8/CTQIBjxWaGs/s320/IMG_0047.JPG" /></div><div>On Tuesday, Alex went to DC with his sister, Claudia, and parents. I took the Metro to Virginia and spent the afternoon with my Uncle Dan, Aunt Lori, and five cousins (Ryan, Megan, Jason, Nathan, and Aaron). They surprised me with a cake and presents for my Birthday!</div><div></div><div></div><br /><div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 264px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 205px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5422310417712412450" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/Sz_qmKWl9yI/AAAAAAAAAZE/jmGALHTPJuY/s320/IMG_0057.JPG" /></div><div></div><br /><br /><div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 286px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 196px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5422310405400012738" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/Sz_qlcfFp8I/AAAAAAAAAY0/_ozZ5XltvyM/s320/DSC_0186.JPG" />On Wednesday, we all drove to Annapolis to visit the Naval Academy. It closed when we arrived, but we were able to walk around the harbor and see some historic buildings. That night we all went out for Tapas for Claudia's Birthday.</div><br /><div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 258px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 195px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5422316594006302610" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/Sz_wNq1zn5I/AAAAAAAAAZc/qAwrsyhNkYY/s320/IMG_0067.JPG" />Thursday was my 29th Birthday. It was the first birthday not spent with my family, but it turned out to be very special thanks to my Alex and sister-in-law, Mary! Alex took me out for a bagel and Starbucks (our little date for the week). We all went to Mary's parent's home in Laurel and had the best food! Mary made me a mud pie and had everyone sing to me...sooooo sweet!!! Then Alex found this great Italian restuarant in Baltimore for dinner. :o)</div><br /><p><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5422310429640916834" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/Sz_qm2ykf2I/AAAAAAAAAZU/5DxzTLCiIuQ/s320/IMG_0093.JPG" /><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/Sz_qmj5UlhI/AAAAAAAAAZM/OaCOyJmA9zw/s1600-h/IMG_0090.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 271px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 210px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5422310424568960530" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/Sz_qmj5UlhI/AAAAAAAAAZM/OaCOyJmA9zw/s320/IMG_0090.JPG" /></a>On Christmas morning, we opened presents with Alex's family and then I visited with my family via webcam! We had a yummy brunch when Mary's family arrived...played Cranium together, and then had a fabulous dinner that evening.</p><div><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/Sz_wQcukaeI/AAAAAAAAAZ0/UoXiHSmgY3o/s1600-h/IMG_1086.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 280px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 211px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5422316641757456866" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/Sz_wQcukaeI/AAAAAAAAAZ0/UoXiHSmgY3o/s320/IMG_1086.JPG" /></a><br /><div><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/Sz_wP2rAzWI/AAAAAAAAAZs/Uk2yyU9nqok/s1600-h/IMG_0089.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 261px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 207px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5422316631541992802" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/Sz_wP2rAzWI/AAAAAAAAAZs/Uk2yyU9nqok/s320/IMG_0089.JPG" /></a> <div><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/Sz_wPqR9LXI/AAAAAAAAAZk/BlZ__79xWPw/s1600-h/IMG_0011.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 208px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 164px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5422316628215672178" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/Sz_wPqR9LXI/AAAAAAAAAZk/BlZ__79xWPw/s320/IMG_0011.JPG" /></a> On Saturday, Alex and I went to DC. Alex and I have been trying to make our home look more "homey-er", so I began with some pillows for the bed. I sewed covers for 2 Euro Pillows and now think that brown pillow cases and a brown blanket under the blue duvet would make a nice touch.<br /><br /><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/Sw3hvo5WVPI/AAAAAAAAAYs/JH2cgqwLL5s/s1600/DSC_0015.JPG"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 320px; FLOAT: left; HEIGHT: 212px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5408226936089892082" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/Sw3hvo5WVPI/AAAAAAAAAYs/JH2cgqwLL5s/s320/DSC_0015.JPG" /></a><br /><div></div><br /><div></div><br /><div></div><br /><div></div><br /><div><br /></div><br /><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div><br /><br /><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div align="left"></div><div align="left"></div><div align="left"></div><div align="left"></div><div align="left"></div><div align="left"></div><div align="left"></div><div align="left"><br /><br /><br /><br />We have been looking for curtains for our living room, but since we haven't found any we both like, I decided to make them. So we found some fabric and I sewed the 6 panels yesterday. Four of the panels are 9 ft! Today I bought curtain rings and Alex helped me put them up! We just love how they transformed the room. But, now we can block out the morning sun and have privacy at night. Since, from the street, you can look through the top windows and see into the loft and master bedroom. With the very little material I had left, I made two runners.<br /><br /></div><div></div><div><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/Sw3hIcf0FxI/AAAAAAAAAYk/tgKuh-mDY7g/s1600/DSC_0020.JPG"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 212px; FLOAT: left; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5408226262746666770" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/Sw3hIcf0FxI/AAAAAAAAAYk/tgKuh-mDY7g/s320/DSC_0020.JPG" /></a><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/Sw3hIC3GfvI/AAAAAAAAAYc/XYjbea5Hnrs/s1600/DSC_0019.JPG"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 212px; FLOAT: left; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5408226255865020146" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/Sw3hIC3GfvI/AAAAAAAAAYc/XYjbea5Hnrs/s320/DSC_0019.JPG" /></a><br /><br /><br /><br /><div><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><div><br /><br /></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/Sw3hHoiuZII/AAAAAAAAAYU/8Wa7_c4lBVQ/s1600/DSC_0017.JPG"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 320px; FLOAT: left; HEIGHT: 212px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5408226248800232578" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/Sw3hHoiuZII/AAAAAAAAAYU/8Wa7_c4lBVQ/s320/DSC_0017.JPG" /></a><br /></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div><br /><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/Sw3hHeepovI/AAAAAAAAAYM/H87lyTkM_x4/s1600/DSC_0016.JPG"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 320px; FLOAT: left; HEIGHT: 212px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5408226246098789106" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/Sw3hHeepovI/AAAAAAAAAYM/H87lyTkM_x4/s320/DSC_0016.JPG" /></a></div></div></div></div>theSanchez'http://www.blogger.com/profile/05797720878755732396noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1160594774775794628.post-17595372293900558972009-10-11T19:34:00.000-07:002009-10-11T19:39:29.620-07:00Women's RetreatLast weekend I went on the Women's Retreat put on by my church, Compass Bible Church. We spent Friday evening through Sunday morning in Murietta Hot Springs. I shared a room with 5 other girls from my small group, heard amazing teaching from the book of Ecclesiasties and came back with so much to apply to my life. Here are some pictures!<br /><br /><br /><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/StKWoDQMjwI/AAAAAAAAAX8/9igf4tf46VE/s1600-h/DSC_0051.JPG"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 320px; FLOAT: left; It's amazing how fast time flies when you are having fun! What a blessing Alex is and what a wonderful husband God has blessed me with. To celebrate we went to Disneyland for the day (and we get to go 2 more times!). Lines were not bad and we got to go on all of the big rides...some even twice! On Thursday morning we drove up to Santa Barbara and stayed there for two nights and came home on Saturday. Our hotel was across the street from the beach, so we spent two days on the beach. Dinners were AMAZING! We are now getting ready to paint the inside of our house (I already finished the 3 bathrooms). We are going to paint our bedroom, loft, hallway, stairs, and living room. We still have to decide on the color for the kitchen/dining room...and the 2 bedrooms upstairs will remain unpainted until we have babies :o) <img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5368139511283977362" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 212px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/Sn92caLSDJI/AAAAAAAAATg/9H9myVXwbKY/s320/DSC_0911.JPG" border="0" /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5368139514113509698" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 212px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/Sn92ckt5SUI/AAAAAAAAATo/mFVTkkpCqu8/s320/DSC_0912.JPG" border="0" /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5368139522631300194" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 212px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/Sn92dEcsdGI/AAAAAAAAATw/UZFcI6c1eyw/s320/DSC_0916.JPG" border="0" /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5368139528462839122" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 212px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/Sn92daLCrVI/AAAAAAAAAT4/Wi4JNBt4fTY/s320/DSC_0918.JPG" border="0" /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5368139530138502882" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 212px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/Sn92dgajRuI/AAAAAAAAAUA/Shx_QCbDyuQ/s320/DSC_0922.JPG" border="0" /></div></div></div></div></div>theSanchez'http://www.blogger.com/profile/05797720878755732396noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1160594774775794628.post-85286375636079465832009-07-15T12:41:00.001-07:002009-07-15T12:48:31.607-07:00Cool Air<div>Even though we live in Laguna Niguel, cooler than Mission Viejo, it still gets pretty hot upstairs. We noticed there was wiring for a fan in our master bedroom, so we found a fan at Costco (actually we bought two...one for Alex's loft office). Our Sunday afternoon was spent putting it together...I directed and Alex did the work, since it was too high for me to reach, and too heavy. What a way to make a marriage strong...work on a home put-it-together-project. We did have fun and slept great under the quiet new fan! Here are some pictures!<br /><br /><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/Sl4x4ivgwfI/AAAAAAAAATA/oThmV9yuYWc/s1600-h/DSC_0882.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5358775454085988850" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 212px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/Sl4x4ivgwfI/AAAAAAAAATA/oThmV9yuYWc/s320/DSC_0882.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/Sl4x4KBxCJI/AAAAAAAAAS4/Uj3u0ywjWPk/s1600-h/DSC_0880.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5358775447451666578" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 212px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/Sl4x4KBxCJI/AAAAAAAAAS4/Uj3u0ywjWPk/s320/DSC_0880.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/Sl4x27SaDcI/AAAAAAAAASw/5-uCadh15Wo/s1600-h/DSC_0878.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5358775426315062722" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 212px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/Sl4x27SaDcI/AAAAAAAAASw/5-uCadh15Wo/s320/DSC_0878.JPG" border="0" /></a><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5358775463625303106" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 212px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/Sl4x5GR3JEI/AAAAAAAAATI/ueayJ3ZqfPA/s320/DSC_0884.JPG" border="0" /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5358775474443502290" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 212px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/Sl4x5ulHwtI/AAAAAAAAATQ/rYhDa08idR0/s320/DSC_0886.JPG" border="0" /></div><br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5358776101520875346" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 212px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/Sl4yeOoBH1I/AAAAAAAAATY/sJhEF_GDVNA/s320/DSC_0890.JPG" border="0" />theSanchez'http://www.blogger.com/profile/05797720878755732396noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1160594774775794628.post-64087551137751703652009-07-06T18:23:00.001-07:002009-07-06T18:42:42.251-07:00Griffith ObservatoryOn Sunday we went with our friends, Bryan and Tussany to L.A. for lunch at the Farmer's Market at the Grove and to go to the Griffith Observatory. The drive up and back was awesome...hardly any traffic, compared with last weekend. I had never been to the Famer's Market...what a cool outside pick of any cuisine! I was most amazed by the Observatory...the views, the displays of cameras, telescopes, planets, stars, etc. We watch this show on a dome ceiling showing stars and great discoverers. I can't wait to use this in my lessons at school...very math related! Here are some pictures!<br /><br /><div><embed src="http://widget-95.slide.com/widgets/slideticker.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" quality="high" scale="noscale" salign="l" wmode="transparent" flashvars="cy=bb&il=1&channel=3530822107881543317&site=widget-95.slide.com" style="width:400px;height:320px" name="flashticker" align="middle"></embed><div style="width:400px;text-align:left;"><a href="http://www.slide.com/pivot?cy=bb&at=un&id=3530822107881543317&map=1" target="_blank"><img src="http://widget-95.slide.com/p1/3530822107881543317/bb_t056_v000_s0un_f00/images/xslide1.gif" border="0" ismap="ismap" /></a> <a href="http://www.slide.com/pivot?cy=bb&at=un&id=3530822107881543317&map=2" target="_blank"><img src="http://widget-95.slide.com/p2/3530822107881543317/bb_t056_v000_s0un_f00/images/xslide2.gif" border="0" ismap="ismap" /></a> <a href="http://www.slide.com/pivot?cy=bb&at=un&id=3530822107881543317&map=F" target="_blank"><img src="http://widget-95.slide.com/p4/3530822107881543317/bb_t056_v000_s0un_f00/images/xslide42.gif" border="0" ismap="ismap" /></a></div></div>theSanchez'http://www.blogger.com/profile/05797720878755732396noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1160594774775794628.post-68600060279228132382009-06-30T10:00:00.000-07:002009-06-30T10:04:29.922-07:00Thai Town & Transformers<div><div><div><div>This past weekend we went with 3 other couples from our church to Hollywood. On New Years Day we watched the Rose Parade (my favorite part of the day) and just RELAXED! What a blessing it is to spend a day not being busy with the day-to-day challenges of life and just enjoy each other's company! </div><br /><div>Friday was spent at Lowe's and Home Depot (we ended up getting more help at Home Depot for our purchases, though). Saturday was our project day...The timer for our porch light "died", so I installed a light switch instead.<br /><br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5287619203452763122" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 212px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/SWFlpolV-_I/AAAAAAAAARU/UQ6L5xYZWa8/s320/DSC_0015.JPG" border="0" /> </div><div>The "Door Viewer" (peep hole) needed to replaced, so with a little drilling to make the hole bigger, we now have one we can actually see through. </div><div></div><br /><div><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5287618469482551474" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 212px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/SWFk-6VNWLI/AAAAAAAAARE/wTo6gwiN98I/s320/DSC_0010.JPG" border="0" /></div><br /><div>I replaced the old Thermostat with a Digital/Programable Thermostat. </div><br /><br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5287619199674735122" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 212px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/SWFlpagl2hI/AAAAAAAAARM/BPII7el50HY/s320/DSC_0013.JPG" border="0" /><br /><div>The timer in the garage that turns on the lights outside above the garage also "died", so I replaced it with a new timer. </div><br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5287619638790722946" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 212px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/SWFmC-WAFYI/AAAAAAAAAR0/ecmNV7lbELI/s320/DSC_0020.JPG" border="0" /><br /><div></div><div>Finally, I have been trying to figure out why our sprinkers won't turn on anymore with our timer (the timer works, I replaced the caps to the wires and the solenoids) but I'm stuck on this one...</div><br /><div></div><div>Together, Alex and I unscrewed the three bottom built-in cabinets from each other, the counter, and wall in our loft. Alex and I drove up to Mt. High to go snowboarding because I got in free (since it was my birthday). It's been a couple of years since we had been, but we picked it up pretty well. That night we went to my parent's house for dinner. Mom made lasagna, salad, and garlic bread (my request). And for dessert..a soy mud pie! It was so special to be with my husband, my parents, grandma, and brother! Presents? Alex got me a Humidifer (yeah! I can breathe at night now), I got a label maker (watch out ... I'm already labeling things around the house), and a Drill (yes...I'm very excited about tools now that I'm a homeowner).</span></span></em></div><div><em><span style="color:#ff6666;"><span style="color:#00cccc;"></span></span></em> </div><div><em><span style="color:#ff6666;"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5285833461802625698" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/SVsNhyieaqI/AAAAAAAAAQc/aMkqpUw5SgE/s320/Karen%27s+28th+Snowboarding.bmp" border="0" /></span></em></div></div></div></div><br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5285833456258966962" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 212px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/SVsNhd4w5bI/AAAAAAAAAQM/RS-bmYzu2RM/s320/DSC_0023.JPG" border="0" /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5285833458863073554" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 212px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/SVsNhnloaRI/AAAAAAAAAQU/TiqOfc9xbVg/s320/DSC_0044.JPG" border="0" /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5285833449437810866" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 212px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/SVsNhEeeULI/AAAAAAAAAQE/rA3TH1v4_es/s320/DSC_0033.JPG" border="0" />theSanchez'http://www.blogger.com/profile/05797720878755732396noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1160594774775794628.post-49079440550224561232008-12-09T20:47:00.000-08:002008-12-09T21:04:12.944-08:00Alex Graduates From Pepperdine! On Saturday, December 6, 2008, Alex graduated from Pepperdine University with a Bachelor's degree in Business Management! I am just so proud of my husband! He began taking classes as Saddleback College while he was still in the marines and transfered to Pepperdine when he completed his assignment. Alex worked full time and went to school at night, and still was such a wonderful husband! I was blessed to live at home when I went to college, so I wanted to make his college time easy...so I too on the chores, all of the cleaning, and any other tasks that would otherwise add to his workload. Boy did it pay off! He is enjoying this week being able to come home after work and not having to stress about homework, projects, or tests. I decorated the house as you will see in the pictures for the reception we held at our home that afternoon!<br /><br /><div><div><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5278022169166904162" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 212px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/ST9NMt3Ue2I/AAAAAAAAAPU/nMdrS6BDOKg/s320/DSC_0465.JPG" border="0" /><br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5278022162044105490" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 212px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/ST9NMTVHMxI/AAAAAAAAAPM/Fbx1L0qpyk0/s320/DSC_0463.JPG" border="0" /><br /><div></div><div><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5278020920911519346" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 212px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/ST9MEDwC3nI/AAAAAAAAAOk/LAF_s-c8_Jo/s320/DSC_0338.JPG" border="0" /></div><br /><div></div><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5278020929479798194" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 212px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/ST9MEjq4bbI/AAAAAAAAAOs/nQ6u7aCiOx8/s320/DSC_0380.JPG" border="0" /><br /><br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5278020939062859794" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 212px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/ST9MFHXqWBI/AAAAAAAAAO0/UdsQ1SOlOl0/s320/DSC_0383.JPG" border="0" /><br /><div></div><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5278020942712949074" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 212px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/ST9MFU96SVI/AAAAAAAAAO8/MfPE9Sth_tQ/s320/DSC_0391.JPG" border="0" /><br /><br /><div></div><div> </div><div><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5278020946825377762" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 212px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/ST9MFkSY9-I/AAAAAAAAAPE/WLH4rBlbCrk/s320/DSC_0404.JPG" border="0" /></div></div></div><br /><p><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5278022178520897074" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 212px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/ST9NNQtfFjI/AAAAAAAAAPk/BPRbTWRGCnA/s320/DSC_0430.JPG" border="0" /></p><p><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5278022175208710002" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 212px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/ST9NNEXzH3I/AAAAAAAAAPc/dj3YyJ08xCY/s320/DSC_0437.JPG" border="0" /></p>theSanchez'http://www.blogger.com/profile/05797720878755732396noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1160594774775794628.post-42959525873633903682008-12-09T20:40:00.001-08:002008-12-09T20:47:11.503-08:00ThanksgivingThis year we went to Alex' parents house in West Hills (Los Angeles) for Thanksgiving. We had such a wonderful time with his parents and sister enjoying a turkey seasoned with rosemary, mexican cornbread stuffing (gluten free for Alex), mashed potatoes (my specialty), yams, cranberry sauce, and green beans. I made gluten free brownies for dessert (from Trader Joes) and they were a huge hit!<br /><br /><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/ST9Jj0vOX1I/AAAAAAAAAOc/RxVYTfmK_cs/s1600-h/DSC_0330.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5278018168102477650" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 212px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/ST9Jj0vOX1I/AAAAAAAAAOc/RxVYTfmK_cs/s320/DSC_0330.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><div><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/ST9Jjhjy8iI/AAAAAAAAAOU/LBtdaGLp9r4/s1600-h/DSC_0327.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5278018162954269218" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 212px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/ST9Jjhjy8iI/AAAAAAAAAOU/LBtdaGLp9r4/s320/DSC_0327.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><div><div><div> </div></div></div></div>theSanchez'http://www.blogger.com/profile/05797720878755732396noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1160594774775794628.post-10910049941965908512008-11-25T13:21:00.000-08:002008-11-25T13:50:30.681-08:00Around the House...Part II<div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div>I've moved upstairs is my cleaning/fixing frenzy. There is a cute 1/2 bath at the bottom of our stairs. Dad showed me how to replace the parts inside the tank and I was able to replace the parts in our master bathroom toilet.<br /><br /><div></div><div><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5272709256118773314" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 212px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/SSxtIebfpkI/AAAAAAAAALk/OBhSGPV_jzA/s320/DSC_0314.JPG" border="0" /></div></div><p></p><p>About a week ago, I decided we needed a toilet paper holder, hand towel rack, and towel rack in our master bathroom. I installed all three! I used a drill (and a level)! Then, since that project went well, I thought replacing the entire shower head (yes even the pipe screwed into the wall), the tub faucet, the overplate head, and drain were next on my list. I think the guys that work at Home Depot seemed surprised by my purchases, but it was quite easy when all you have to do is follow the directions on the package. I learned how to use plumbing tape, plumber putty, and caulking. <img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5272710599632748466" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 212px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/SSxuWraL_7I/AAAAAAAAALs/GkF0LqEWz0s/s320/DSC_0309.JPG" border="0" /></p></div></div></div></div></div><p><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5272710612425269810" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 212px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/SSxuXbEKYjI/AAAAAAAAAL0/k3RuMezfRWQ/s320/DSC_0308.JPG" border="0" /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5272710617976738642" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 212px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/SSxuXvvvE1I/AAAAAAAAAL8/DrEGE19DSnQ/s320/DSC_0310.JPG" border="0" /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5272710627193536306" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 212px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/SSxuYSFMPzI/AAAAAAAAAME/eIU14rK3X5Q/s320/DSC_0312.JPG" border="0" /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5272710630207690066" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 212px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/SSxuYdT0lVI/AAAAAAAAAMM/SWD74Xti1Yc/s320/DSC_0313.JPG" border="0" /></p><p>Upstairs to the left we have a loft that had built-in cabinets (which are now in the garage on a wall, thanks to my father-in-law) and a built-in desk (which will also move to the garage). I also planted our "Star Jasmine" next to my slider door going out to our backyard. We don't have overhead lighting in our dining room, so I'm playing with the placement of these floorlamps.</p><p></p><br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5272671974213786066" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 212px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/SSxLOYgrmdI/AAAAAAAAAK0/R1QufDIVfZ0/s320/DSC_0275.JPG" border="0" /><br /><br /><p></p><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5272671980200574754" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 212px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/SSxLOu0CvyI/AAAAAAAAAK8/3H9Tfy4jCbM/s320/DSC_0276.JPG" border="0" /><br /><br /><p><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5272671984654008962" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 212px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/SSxLO_Z0woI/AAAAAAAAALE/PrmZdkkfpIQ/s320/DSC_0283.JPG" border="0" /></p></div></div></div></div><br /><br /><p><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5272671988486701250" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 212px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/SSxLPNrnAMI/AAAAAAAAALM/5Ywu7NpTIME/s320/DSC_0285.JPG" border="0" /></p><br /><p>Lastly, as far as the downstairs is concerned, I did add two more floor lamps in the living room and have begun to accessorize. We all met at the Beach Pit BBQ for dinner and enjoyed meeting new couples! Then we headed off to Tustin Lanes for bowling with the lights off, black lights on, and fun music. Although I had the worst time hitting down pins, Alex had 4 strikes in a row! It was fun, none the less, and it was great just being with other couples around our age.<br /><br /><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/SPKSDfXZDPI/AAAAAAAAAJ0/5AIbXlJyh6c/s1600-h/Bowling+05.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5256424303751662834" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/SPKSDfXZDPI/AAAAAAAAAJ0/5AIbXlJyh6c/s320/Bowling+05.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/SPKSDnhIEOI/AAAAAAAAAJ8/M4DUxH4pjjo/s1600-h/Bowling+02.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5256424305939976418" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/SPKSDnhIEOI/AAAAAAAAAJ8/M4DUxH4pjjo/s320/Bowling+02.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/SPKSDl0vp7I/AAAAAAAAAKE/lHsLC38R0O0/s1600-h/Bowling+04.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5256424305485391794" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/SPKSDl0vp7I/AAAAAAAAAKE/lHsLC38R0O0/s320/Bowling+04.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/SPKSDsqKfpI/AAAAAAAAAKM/ZUKiWDtvl6k/s1600-h/Bowling+01.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5256424307320061586" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/SPKSDsqKfpI/AAAAAAAAAKM/ZUKiWDtvl6k/s320/Bowling+01.jpg" border="0" /></a> <div></div>theSanchez'http://www.blogger.com/profile/05797720878755732396noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1160594774775794628.post-89132301289050991582008-10-09T19:47:00.000-07:002008-10-09T19:56:01.182-07:00Happy Birthday Alex!Alex's Birthday was on Saturday, October 4th...but we celebrated the whole weekend! I surprised him by putting in his prescription and polarizing his Ray-Ban Sunglasses. On Saturday we went to dinner at Cedar Creek Inn and were so impressed with the menu choices! On Sunday we met both of our parents for lunch a Taleo (a Mexican Grill Restaurant in Irvine) which I would highly recommend. I made my sweet husband a soy ice cream mud pie since we are both lactose-intolerant. Yummy as usual! Happy 26th Birthday my love!<br /><br /><br /><br /><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/SO7D4dYzVRI/AAAAAAAAAJU/qOSZnlhSm8o/s1600-h/DSC_0253.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5255353189916693778" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/SO7D4dYzVRI/AAAAAAAAAJU/qOSZnlhSm8o/s320/DSC_0253.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/SO7D4rcxxII/AAAAAAAAAJc/cg36jQIWWOc/s1600-h/DSC_0254.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5255353193691464834" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/SO7D4rcxxII/AAAAAAAAAJc/cg36jQIWWOc/s320/DSC_0254.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/SO7D4oUe29I/AAAAAAAAAJk/TPSSciaHHEQ/s1600-h/DSC_0258.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5255353192851364818" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/SO7D4oUe29I/AAAAAAAAAJk/TPSSciaHHEQ/s320/DSC_0258.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/SO7D45R7ynI/AAAAAAAAAJs/UdCvoozx-uY/s1600-h/DSC_0261.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5255353197404080754" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/SO7D45R7ynI/AAAAAAAAAJs/UdCvoozx-uY/s320/DSC_0261.JPG" border="0" /></a>theSanchez'http://www.blogger.com/profile/05797720878755732396noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1160594774775794628.post-28586528356120866542008-09-30T16:32:00.001-07:002008-09-30T16:47:46.548-07:00Our New Soon-To-Be HomeAlex and I have been house hunting since the end of August, looking in Mission Viejo, Laguna Niguel, Aliso Viejo, and Laguna Hills. It has been quite a journey, learning all about Real Estate and Loans, deciding on a floor plan we would both be happy with, and then the long wait to see if our offer on a home would be accepted. A couple of weeks ago, we put an offer on a house in Laguna Niguel, a forclosure, and found out yesterday that our offer was accepted! We are so excited and are continuing to pray for God to lead us through this process and that He would be glorified! The house is a 2 story, 2 car garage with a backyard, 3 bedroom, loft, 3 bathroom, living area, dining room, and kitchen. It was just freshly painted and recarpeted, a very nice touch! Here are some pictures!<br /><br /><br /><div></div><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5251964950902894130" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/SOK6S_debjI/AAAAAAAAAHI/ziamP8H_Xrs/s320/24495+Kings+View+01.jpg" border="0" /> <div></div><div></div><br /><div><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/SOK6A-0tcPI/AAAAAAAAAGg/e_L1PU1s-eg/s1600-h/24495+Kings+View+02.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5251964641494266098" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/SOK6A-0tcPI/AAAAAAAAAGg/e_L1PU1s-eg/s320/24495+Kings+View+02.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/SOK6A_8W8WI/AAAAAAAAAGo/1bkb4QyeX7Y/s1600-h/24495+Kings+View+03.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5251964641794781538" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/SOK6A_8W8WI/AAAAAAAAAGo/1bkb4QyeX7Y/s320/24495+Kings+View+03.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/SOK6AwrOT4I/AAAAAAAAAGw/V-tbBGvb7_A/s1600-h/24495+Kings+View+04.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5251964637696380802" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/SOK6AwrOT4I/AAAAAAAAAGw/V-tbBGvb7_A/s320/24495+Kings+View+04.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/SOK6A4KvNDI/AAAAAAAAAG4/k3nDCYAz74k/s1600-h/24495+Kings+View+05.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5251964639707608114" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/SOK6A4KvNDI/AAAAAAAAAG4/k3nDCYAz74k/s320/24495+Kings+View+05.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/SOK6BCNpaII/AAAAAAAAAHA/49NDI617OrQ/s1600-h/24495+Kings+View+06.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5251964642404165762" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/SOK6BCNpaII/AAAAAAAAAHA/49NDI617OrQ/s320/24495+Kings+View+06.jpg" border="0" /></a> <img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5251964949786381970" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/SOK6S7TRzpI/AAAAAAAAAHQ/cIwXVuDzWPI/s320/24495+Kings+View+07.jpg" border="0" /><br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5251964950068133906" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/SOK6S8WdABI/AAAAAAAAAHY/rAmAgW0cePA/s320/24495+Kings+View+08.jpg" border="0" /><br /><div></div></div>theSanchez'http://www.blogger.com/profile/05797720878755732396noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1160594774775794628.post-80519240548406890842008-08-29T13:51:00.000-07:002008-08-29T13:59:30.697-07:00My Beautiful ClassroomI can't believe it is going to be my 5th year teaching High School. This year I will be teaching 3 Introduction to Statistics classes, an Algebra IA class, and 2 Algebra IA-2nd Semester classes. This means I get a lovely mix of freshmen and sophmores and seniors..maybe some juniors. I have spent the past couple of days updating my classroom with decorative walls, attending teacher meetings, and planning for the first day as well as the rest of the semester. Surprisingly, I am REALLY looking forward to going back to work...to me it's fun because I get to play and show my students how much fun and interesting math can be. Here are some pictures of my room!<br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5240046582652841026" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/SLhimp2FrEI/AAAAAAAAAEw/Fd1BcrV0RbY/s320/DSC_0247.JPG" border="0" /><br /><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/SLhim_TmV6I/AAAAAAAAAE4/k495JvfCO3k/s1600-h/DSC_0248.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5240046588413761442" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/SLhim_TmV6I/AAAAAAAAAE4/k495JvfCO3k/s320/DSC_0248.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/SLhinIA6kVI/AAAAAAAAAFA/Ff25YrIbcjM/s1600-h/DSC_0249.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5240046590751314258" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/SLhinIA6kVI/AAAAAAAAAFA/Ff25YrIbcjM/s320/DSC_0249.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/SLhinXP1vuI/AAAAAAAAAFI/YSmZLMu8dqE/s1600-h/DSC_0250.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5240046594840444642" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/SLhinXP1vuI/AAAAAAAAAFI/YSmZLMu8dqE/s320/DSC_0250.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/SLhinglQaoI/AAAAAAAAAFQ/n7QN89jjoGU/s1600-h/DSC_0251.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5240046597346192002" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_n7ps5cbADxQ/SLhinglQaoI/AAAAAAAAAFQ/n7QN89jjoGU/s320/DSC_0251.JPG" border="0" /></a>theSanchez'http://www.blogger.com/profile/05797720878755732396noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1160594774775794628.post-53086464499085904592008-08-25T08:08:00.000-07:002008-08-25T08:17:21.229-07:00My Mom's BirthdayLast night we took my mom to dinner for her birthday (which is actually next Sunday). We went to the Orange County Mining Company...yummy food!! I surprised her with the Mama Mia Soundtrack...our new favorite musical! I also got creative with dessert and made mini ice cream cakes...it's actually in the form of cupcakes. It was Alex friendly too! Gluten Free chocolate cake mix and soy ice cream! (Okay....it had some fudge in there too...) Here are some pictures of the four of us! However, I have been feeling convicted that in all my years of being a Christian, I have never once read through the entire bible. So, starting on January 1, 2008 I began my "Reading Through The Bible In A Year" program. I decided that instead of reading a little old and new testament everyday, that I would read the Old Testament First. Today I have finished Genesis and started in Exodus. It's amazing to me that I can still find new applications and information even though I have read these passages before. I can see daily how God speaks to me through my reading and through the lives of the people in Genesis and now Moses, in Exodus. I also wanted to make sure I am in the Word daily because I vowed as a wife I would daily seek the Lord as to be a good spiritual helper to my husband. I will periodically blog about my progress this year and any interesting thoughts God reveals to me throughout this journey!</span></strong>theSanchez'http://www.blogger.com/profile/05797720878755732396noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1160594774775794628.post-26432009312504822732008-01-09T07:56:00.000-08:002008-01-09T08:47:26.651-08:00Christmas 2007<span style="font-family:verdana;"><span style="color:#cc0000;">Alex and I celebrated our first Christmas together married! About 3 weeks prior to Christmas, we went a bought a 6-7ft Noble Fir Tree for our apartment and decorated it with red and silver ornaments, white lights, and a big red bow I made for the top. (You will see it in some pictures in the slideshow).<br /></span><br /></span><span style="font-family:verdana;"><span style="color:#009900;">We woke up on Christmas morning to open gifts from each other. Alex bought me a Bull Horn for when I coach and some other little goodies... I got him a Messenger Bag Briefcase for him to take to work and school. We went over to my parents house to open gifts and stocking stuffers with them. We had lunch (Cornish Game Hens & Wild Rice) and then drove to L.A. to be with Alex's family. This year was especially nice because my brother flew in from North Carolina and Alex's brother & sister-in-law flew in from Maryland. Along with Alex's parents, brother, sister-in-law, and sister, we drove to Cayucos (just past Morro Bay) to spend time with Alex's grandparents and other family members.<br /></span><br /><span style="color:#cc0000;">Reflecting back on this Christmas, I am so grateful for our families who made it so easy to make accomodations to split Christmas and do things a little differently now that we are married. We were able to spend time praying and thanking God for the birth of His Son, and praise Him for all His blessings this year of 2007!</span></span><br /><br /><div><embed style="WIDTH: 400px; HEIGHT: 320px" name="flashticker" align="middle" src="http://widget-e6.slide.com/widgets/slideticker.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" quality="high" scale="noscale" salign="l" wmode="transparent" flashvars="cy=bb&il=1&channel=1801439850949489638&site=widget-e6.slide.com"></embed> <div style="WIDTH: 400px; TEXT-ALIGN: left"><a href="http://www.slide.com/pivot?cy=bb&ad=0&id=1801439850949489638&map=1" target="_blank"><img src="http://widget-e6.slide.com/p1/1801439850949489638/bb_t053_v000_a000_f00/images/xslide1.gif" border="0" /></a> <a href="http://www.slide.com/pivot?cy=bb&ad=0&id=1801439850949489638&map=2" target="_blank"><img src="http://widget-e6.slide.com/p2/1801439850949489638/bb_t053_v000_a000_f00/images/xslide2.gif" border="0" /></a></div></div>theSanchez'http://www.blogger.com/profile/05797720878755732396noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1160594774775794628.post-35295794662422678382008-01-08T17:00:00.000-08:002008-12-10T14:54:03.645-08:00My 27th Birthday!<span style="font-family:times new roman;color:#3366ff;">My Birthday was on December 24th and I am now 27 years old. It feels like such a big number and I don't feel at all 27...maybe more like 20... Alex made me waffles (using a waffle maker and making the mix by hand!)...with some oral directions from me. What a sweetheart! Then I opened my present from him and was so excited to see he had bought me a zoom lens for my Nikon SLR camera (which was his wedding gift to me). </span><br /><span style="font-family:times new roman;color:#3366ff;"></span><br /><span style="font-family:times new roman;color:#3366ff;">Funny (well actually is not), so ironic would be a better word, story happened the night we started dating (way back in November 2004). I had my Cannon SLR camera with all of it's attachments in my backseat and the next morning my car window was broken and I noticed the camera had been stolen! I have been wanting another one since the first was a high school graduation gift. I Love You that afternoon. My parents, Kevin and Grandma came over to our apartment that evening and we went out to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner. We came back to our apartment for dessert.
